Yours truly is no political doomsayer. Hey, the capital was burned to the ground in 1812, and we muddled though. Yesterday's epochal news is tomorrow's trivia question answered with a blank stare. But. . .The United States must be in goddamn dire straits indeed if WILLIE NELSON feels the need to write protest songs.
