I was just reading the politics Website Talking Points Memo and saw a headline that some pol or other had added some lawyer to his "Legal Team."

Didn't have to read more than those two words to know the whole story. "Legal Team" is a journalism keyword meaning "Subject of This Story Is in Deep Shit." Never, ever to read the phrase "legal team" in connection with some nice old folks winning the lottery, firemen rescuing kittens from trees or the home team winning the big game.

Dear readers, may your lives be forever free from legal teams. As for the pol, I figure he deserves his.
